Tracy “Twinkie” Byrd 5 Tips to Become a Successful Actor!

Tip 1: Don’t Try To Impress Anyone But Yourself!

“Impressing means your putting on” says Byrd. Just be your authentic self,  and if you don’t know your authentic self then that’s a problem.

Tip 2: Don’t Be On  Time, Be Early!

“To be on time is to be late, and to be late is unacceptable, period” Byrd states. This is a general rule of thumb in the industries, so it’s always best practice to be punctual because time is money.

Tip 3: Study Your Craft Or Prepare To Fail.

“Being passionate about a career path is to be knowledgeable, so no matter how talented you are you won’t get far if you don’t take the time to study your craft” says Byrd.

Tip 4: Say, You’re Welcome

While Byrd recognizes showing gratefulness is a good idea, actors should leave the audition knowing they did a good job worthy of a compliment.

Tip 5: Find inspiration living your life!

“Your life informs your work” says Byrd. Living and giving to the fullest will help your craft.
