“DW3’s “I Got You” Hits Top 25 On Billboard’s Smooth Jazz Charts”

LOS ANGELES (July 14, 2011) – Down With Three, better known as DW3, consists of three Latino singer-songwriter-musicians, Billy Mondragon, Damon Reel, and Eric Mondragon, whose harmonious sound has earned the group legions of fans worldwide.  Their new CD, “On the Floor,” is a masterful blend of R&B, soul, and smooth jazz music that includes the hot single, “I Got You,” featuring saxophonist Gerald Albright, which has hit the Top 25 on Billboard’s Smooth Jazz charts.  Their latest single, the title track, “On the Floor,” is gaining popularity on radio playlists around the country.

Drawing legions of fans around the world, DW3 has been singing together for years.  Each with their own distinctive sound – Billy with the Philip Bailey falsetto; Damon with the neo-soul R&B runs; and Eric with the head tones and growls of Stevie Wonder – DW3 has the ability to blend as one voice when singing together.

“We’ve been doing it so long, it’s kind of a natural thing.  It’s second nature,” said Billy during a recent interview on the Los Angeles radio station, 94.7 FM The Wave.  “We know each other.  I know what Eric’s going to do, I know what Damon’s going to do, so together it gels, it works.”

The talented trio are gifted musicians and songwriters in their own right, which helps give their music plenty of variety with three different viewpoints and tastes.  They are attracting lots of attention both locally, nationally and internationally, with “On the Floor,” reaching #1 in the U.K.

DW3 performs live weekly at Spaghettini Grill & Lounge in Seal Beach, California.  For more details, upcoming performances, and booking information, please visit www.dw3soul.com.  For updates, please visit www.twitter.com/dw3music.com and www.facebook.com/dw3music.com.
